Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators for The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winning talk show), returned in August for the 22nd season. She was a writer prior to becoming a host, but her passion was to write. In fact, it brought the show an Emmy. Also, she was awarded the Emmy for hosting as well as an outstanding comedy talk show. She was co-hosting CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 and 2010. Her prior roles included anchoring CBS Morning News and The Early Show. In addition, she was employed by ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first job was as an assistant at ABC News, working on the late-night news program Nightline together with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among Moonves' journalistic heros. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel in the Columbia du-Pont-nominated show on primetime, Anatomy of a Riot in 1992, which focused on the Los Angeles riots.
