Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance when it comes to DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. The result was state authorities issuing more strict rules in these instances. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. Her current position as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's reported on major occasions like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys.
